
Chimuka Chuulu
Biography
Chimuka Chuulu is a Zambian geographer currently working with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zambia’s Energy & Environment Unit. Her work supports national efforts in renewable energy, climate resilience, and disaster risk reduction. She holds a BA (Hons) in Geography from Rhodes University, South Africa, where she completed a thesis on climate variability and tourism resilience in the Hogsback area. She also holds a BA in Politics & International Studies and Geography. Her interests lie in climate governance, geospatial analysis, and inclusive environmental communication. As part of her professional and research engagements, she has collaborated with UNEP, FAO, and Chatham House on initiatives spanning forest monitoring, youth-led climate action, and global policy dialogue. In 2024, as an intern, she contributed to the Norway Energy for Development programme at UNEP’s Disaster Risk Reduction Unit in Geneva, coordinating global webinars and writing country background papers on energy and environment.
