Michele Meroni is a remote sensing scientist with experience in vegetation and crop monitoring. He has a university degree in Environmental Sciences, a PhD on biophysical parameter retrieval using radiative transfer.

He is consultant at the Food Security Unity at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.
