Tom is an environmental modeler, data scientist, and spatial analyst with over 25 years of experience. He holds a PhD in soil mapping and geo-information science and promotes open-source spatial analysis through hands-on R training. He leads the Open-Earth-Monitor project and directs the OpenGeoHub Foundation. A Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher (2021–2025), his work has earned multiple awards and global recognition.
