Prof. Ramoelo is Executive Director: Earth Observation (EO) at the South African National Space Agency (SANSA). He holds a PhD in Geoinformation Science and EO from the University of Twente, Netherlands. A C2-rated scientist by the National Research Foundation. He has published over 120 papers and book chapters. His research focuses on remote sensing for vegetation health, biodiversity, water resources, and land use change. At SANSA, he oversees strategy, operations, business development, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
