Ideas Stage

GEO Week 2019 features a focused programme of community events on 4 and 5 November, including side events and lightning talks led by members of the GEO community.

A series of lightning talks will be held on the GEO Week 2019 Ideas Stage, featuring short presentations on a variety of important topics.

Where it happens

  • A dedicated room at the venue will serve as an informal Ideas Stage for 15 minute lightning talks on GEO-related topics.
  • The Ideas Stage will have presentation capability (HDMI input to large screens), a microphone for the presenter.

FAQ

How much time will I have?

Your allocated 15 minute slot is ‘hard’, so please finish on time out of respect for the next presenter. The session moderator will ensure that the speaking schedule is maintained.

Can audience members ask questions?

Questions and answers will need to be included within your allocated time to give the next presenter their full time slot. We suggest following up with questions line in one of the many collaborations spaces within the exhibition area.

Will someone introduce and monitor changeover between speakers?

Yes, a moderator will be in the room to introduce you, and to update you on your remaining time.
