New on the GCI: Healthsites health care location data for West Africa
24 October 2017
Healthsites is building a global commons of health facility data and is working to make OpenStreetMap more useful to the medical community and humanitarian sector. Their open data approach invites organisations to share health facility data and collaborate to establish an accessible global baseline of health facility data. Healthsites data is now discoverable through the GEOSS portal, allowing the data to reach thousands of open data collaborators.
Currently Healthsites is focused on understanding the health capacity for West Africa, in order to enable Health Ministries and epidemiologists to manage the risk of infectious disease events.
Get in touch if you have data to share or would like to find out how to support this work.
